Refunds and cancellation

Synapse's refund and cancellation policy. Paid plans can be cancelled at any time, and we fully refund a payment if you ask within 14 days and have not used the plan since that charge, processed by Paddle.

When these rules apply

Creating an account generates no charges: you only pay if you buy Base or Languages, and these rules apply to every charge. Invitation access has no charges and never turns into a paid plan on its own.

Full refund within 14 days if you have not used the plan

You can get a full refund of a payment, the first one or any renewal, monthly or annual, if you ask within 14 calendar days of that charge and have not used the plan since. Using the plan means creating or advancing a learning route, sending answers for feedback, or practicing conversation or pronunciation after the charge. In that case we do not ask for a reason and we do not deduct fees.

If you have already used the plan, you can still ask: Paddle reviews each request case by case and may approve it in full, in part, or decline it, under its Refund Policy. Once the refund is issued, access for that period ends.

How to ask for a refund

Write to our support email (support@aisynapse.app) from the address you paid with, or request it at paddle.net under “Request refund”. Paddle returns the money to the payment method you used no later than 15 calendar days after your request; your bank may take a few more days to show it.

Cancel at any time

Cancel from the “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle confirmation email or at paddle.net. Cancelling stops future renewals: it takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, you keep access until then and you will not be charged again. Cancelling does not refund the current period on its own; if you are within 14 days of the last charge and have not used the plan since, you can also ask for a full refund.

If Synapse does not work

If a technical problem we cannot fix keeps you from using what you paid for, we will refund the affected period even after the 14 days.

Your legal rights

This policy adds to your rights under the law; it never reduces them. In Colombia, the 5-business-day right of withdrawal (retracto) for distance purchases (Law 1480 of 2011, article 47) does not apply to services whose use began with your agreement. If the law of your country gives you more, for example 7 days without conditions in Canada or Brazil, or the 14-day withdrawal right in the European Union and the United Kingdom before you start using the plan, that law applies.

If a charge was fraudulent or not authorized, or the service was not provided or does not match what was offered, tell us within 5 business days of noticing and also notify the issuer of the card or payment method you used, as article 51 of Law 1480 provides for payment reversals. We will ask Paddle to reverse the charge.

Paddle handles payments and refunds

Paddle is the Merchant of Record for our orders: it is the seller that charges you and issues refunds. Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply to your purchase. If they, or the law of your country, give you more rights than this page, the more favorable rule applies.
