Who provides Synapse
Synapse is learning software developed and operated under the name AI Synapse by an individual (sole proprietor) in Colombia, not by an incorporated company. In these terms, “Synapse”, “we” and “us” mean that person, identified below. By creating an account or using the site, you accept these terms.

What Synapse is
Synapse is software you use online (software as a service). It gives you programming and English learning routes, reviewed or built with AI depending on the route, that adjust to your goal and your materials if you provide them. They include practice activities, closing challenges, automatic feedback on your answers, hints, review and saved progress. Part of the content, the feedback and what the study companions say is created with the help of AI models.
Synapse does not include classes, human tutoring, coaching or certifications, and it does not resell courses or books by others: the sources it recommends are cited and linked where they are published.
What Synapse offers today
The alpha offers email and password accounts and two kinds of route. Programming: reviewed base routes for JavaScript, Python, TypeScript and React, and routes for Rust, Go, Java, C#, SQL, PHP and C++ built with AI and marked as such, with lessons, practice activities, code that runs in your browser where the language allows it, a closing challenge for each stage, a final project and spaced review. English: routes from A1 to C2 with a placement test, lessons with explanations and key phrases, listening, vocabulary, fill-in-the-gap, dictation, sentence-building and reading exercises, a typed conversation with Gaby that completes each step, closing challenges and word review, and, with the Languages plan, minutes to speak English with Gaby and pronunciation exercises. You must register and sign in. You can write your goal, add your own materials (PDF, text or photos of notes), practice, ask for hints, ask Gaby, retry and move forward. Your route and your progress are saved to your account.
Creating an account generates no charges. An account without a plan can complete a route's setup and see the route Synapse builds for it. To open the lessons, practise, take the closing challenges, ask Gaby or speak English you need a paid plan, Base or Languages, bought from your account through Paddle. Each plan's usage limits are on the pricing page. There is also a daily capacity shared by all accounts: if it fills up, the service tells you and your progress stays saved.
We may give free access to people we invite, for example to try the alpha. That invitation access is only for invited accounts: it cannot be requested or bought, it may have an end date, it has lower usage limits than the plans, we may withdraw it at any time and it never turns into a paid plan on its own. A discount code applies only if Paddle's checkout accepts it, and the checkout shows the final price before you pay. Other subjects and tools for teachers are still in development. The alpha may change or be interrupted while we build it.
Who can use Synapse
You must be 18 or older to create an account. Synapse does not offer accounts for minors or services for schools and institutions yet. Do not upload personal information about students or other people.
The paid plans and their prices
Synapse offers two individual plans. Base costs USD 12 per month, or USD 96 per year in a single payment (equivalent to USD 8 per month). Languages includes everything in Base plus 90 minutes a month of spoken English with Gaby and 300 pronunciation exercises a month; it costs USD 24 per month, or USD 192 per year in a single payment (equivalent to USD 16 per month). Prices are in US dollars. Prices include taxes such as VAT or sales tax where they apply; Paddle calculates them according to your location and shows the total before you pay. Each plan's usage limits are published on the pricing page, and the price and conditions shown at checkout are the ones that apply to your purchase.
Payments through Paddle, our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
This means you buy your subscription from Paddle. Depending on where you are, the seller is Paddle.com Market Limited (United Kingdom), Paddle.com Inc. (United States) or Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd (Canada). Paddle charges your payment method, sends the receipt or invoice and handles payment, billing and refund requests under its Buyer Terms. We provide the software, your account and help with using Synapse.
Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, monthly or annual, for the same period, until you cancel. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. You can cancel at any time from the link in your Paddle confirmation email or at paddle.net. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for: you keep access until then and you will not be charged again.
If the price of your plan changes, we will tell you by email before your next renewal. The new price applies only from that renewal, and you can cancel before it.
Refunds
You can get a full refund of a payment, the first one or a renewal, if you ask within 14 days of the charge and have not used the plan since. If you have used it, Paddle reviews your request case by case. The refunds and cancellation page explains what counts as using the plan and how to ask. This never limits the rights the law of your country gives you.
Automatic content and AI study companions
Routes, explanations, activities, feedback and answers are partly generated automatically and can contain mistakes, so review them critically. Feedback assesses your answers to the exercises, not you. Synapse does not issue certificates or guarantee grades or results. The illustrations on the site explain how the product works; they do not show your progress.
Gaby, Pil, Vera and Cala are study characters powered by AI, not people. They can be wrong, they do not replace professional advice (medical, psychological, legal or financial) and they do not handle emergencies: if you are in a crisis or at risk, contact your local emergency services right away.
Acceptable use
Use Synapse to learn. Do not try to access other people's information, interfere with the service, get around its limits or controls, or upload content you do not have the right to use.
Also, do not try to manipulate the study companions or the AI models into doing anything other than helping you learn, or to extract their internal instructions; do not abuse the service's capacity, for example by creating several accounts to add up limits or to see more routes without a plan; and do not automate accounts or their use with bots or scripts. If you do, we may limit, suspend or close your account.
Your materials and our rights
You keep the rights to the materials you upload. You allow us to process them only to provide the service to you, for example to extract their text and build your route. Only upload materials you have the right to use. The software, its design and the Synapse brand belong to the operator; using Synapse does not transfer those rights to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version and its date are always on this page. If a change materially affects a paid subscription, we will tell you by email before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live; nothing in these terms excludes them. Because Paddle is the seller, your purchase is also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Send questions, complaints and claims to our support email (support@aisynapse.app). We confirm receipt with the date, the time and a reference number, and we reply within 15 business days. In Colombia, the consumer protection authority is the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC).
